Lead Technical Readiness Engineer

Rapid7's Global Growth Enablement team is looking for an experienced Technical (go-to-customer) Enablement Lead to join our team. This is an opportunity to be part of our competency-based enablement journey, including continuous development and delivery of programs for our technical go-to-customer teams, starting with new hire training and continuing throughout their Rapid7 career.

About the Team

Our Growth Enablement team is responsible for the development and ongoing management of domain-relevant enablement focused on Rapid7 strategies, industry knowledge, and key role-based competencies from the new hire experience to ongoing efforts to ensure our go-to customer teams and partners are set up for long-term success across the full customer lifecycle.

In this role you will:
  • Scope the full set of content/programs required to address the needs of our technical go-to customer teams to ensure a deep understanding of Rapid7's products, services, and value propositions relevant to their respective roles.
  • Partner with our technical teams (Solution Engineering, Technical Account Management, Support) to develop readiness tracks, strategies, and systems, including enablement, product certification, and access to demo environments
  • Develop upskilling strategies for technical Moose, helping them grow technically and professionally to stay sharp on the latest technologies and industry trends across cybersecurity.
  • Collaborate with LOB and cross-functional teams to create relevant, role-specific content focused on "what's in it for the customer?"
  • Define technical readiness success metrics and SLAs, establishing insight into the time, depth, and methods required to provide incredible experiences to our prospects and customers.
  • Recommend approaches to leverage technology to enhance the enablement experience and consistently find ways to ensure enablement is consumable, efficient, and effective.


The skills you'll bring include:
  • 5+ years experience in sales enablement, solution engineering/support enablement or a related field (including solution engineering / product management)
  • Strong knowledge of technical learning pathways, and the content, systems, and processes required to develop/coordinate Subject Matter Experts at scale
  • A passion for educating others in security-related topics and problem solving
  • Ability to marry art and science to articulate the ROI of each training initiative
  • The ability to work well with cross-functional stakeholders, actively listening and collaborating to define and solve multi-organization problem setsf
  • Understanding of the security ecosystem, as well as the components of a successful technical selling motion
  • Humor, high emotional intelligence, humility, and true team player mentality
  • Experience working in cybersecurity is preferred but not required
  • Work in a fast-paced, rewarding environment with tight deadlines and minimal supervision that demands high quality, creativity, and consistency
