Primary function:
Reporting to the Director of Employee Learning and Development in the Center for Workplace Development, this role manages the planning, design, delivery, implementation and evaluation of the Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging Academy (DIB Academy). DIB Academy serves approximately 14,000 Harvard employees. The complete program serves three (3) discrete populations: staff, managers, and senior leaders. Workshops are offered throughout the year.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Program manage all aspects of the Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging Academy (DIB), including;
Ensure effective and seamless planning, design, delivery, implementation and evaluation of the 6-module Academy, across staff, manager and executive populations.
Organize workshop walkthroughs, pilots, and soft launches
Edit program materials (presentation decks and guides) in response to feedback
Review training schedule for accuracy, sharing errors, inconsistencies, and other observed concerns
Respond to participantsâ inquiries regarding DIB Academy
Manage workshop attendance
Analyze training records (attendance, program evaluations, usage by school/unit, etc.) and prepare and disseminate reports
Partner with CWD colleagues in Management and Leadership Development and Executive and Organization Effectiveness to ensure alignment on implementation strategies and consistency of content across staff, manager and executive populations.
Partner with Harvard Training Portal team to ensure schools and units consistently follow course creation procedures and provide guidance to schools and units when needed
Other duties as required or requested.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelorâs degree required, along with a minimum of five years in training and development and recent experience managing a program of similar size and scope.
Additional Education and Experience:
Masterâs degree in training and development (or related area) preferred.
Demonstrated excellence in program management.
Strong research and analytical skills, and the ability to effectively organize and display data.
Proactive in identifying and communicating issues or barriers that may impede an initiative or compromise its success and critical thinking skills to identify and determine alternative solutions/approaches.
Effective communication and influencing skills, both written and oral, with the ability to share information and ideas clearly and concisely with a range of audiences.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Capacity to develop and maintain strong professional relationships across the organization and to work collaboratively with colleagues.
Experience delivering diversity courses, a plus.
A flexible âcan doâ attitude and approach to the work.
Resourceful and able to work independently.
