Job Description:

This position is responsible for managing all aspects of leave and benefits administration. The role ensures a smooth process from the initial leave request through to return-to-work, and requires collaboration with internal teams and external vendors. You will play a key role in supporting employees and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Guide employees through the leave process, including initiation, accommodations, and return-to-work procedures.
  • Track and manage all active leave requests, ensuring documentation and timely processing.
  • Work with managers to assist employees during their leave periods.
  • Approve and accurately track various leave types in the company's system.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on state, federal, and company leave policies and regulations.
  • Continuously update company policies to reflect changing leave laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with Payroll and Finance teams to ensure correct pay and leave coding, and manage reconciliations when employees return.
  • Respond to inquiries on state and federal regulations, healthcare plans, and ADA compliance.
  • Act as a liaison for Workers' Compensation inquiries between departments and vendors.
  • Provide assistance with Short-Term and Long-Term Disability questions.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in leave administration, including FMLA, disability, and ancillary benefits.
  • BA/BS degree preferred or 10+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Strong understanding of multi-state and federal leave laws, including Workers' Compensation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with payroll systems (ADP preferred).
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive employee information.
