Legal Records Clerk Requirements:
  • 1-3 years of experience as a Medical Records Clerk in a law firm
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Polished and professional demeanor
  • Experience with Neos (system) is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred but not required

Legal Records Clerk Responsibilities:
  • Obtain medical records from hospitals, doctors, chiropractors, and other healthcare providers
  • Process payments for medical records online, coordinate with accounting for check payments, and ensure timely follow-up
  • Maintain and update case files with accurate medical records, ensuring no details are missed
  • Manage and prioritize 20-40 cases simultaneously, keeping attorneys informed of the status of medical records
  • Conduct regular follow-up with healthcare providers to ensure all records are received in a timely manner
  • Utilize Neos (system) and Microsoft Office 365 to manage and track records
  • Communicate effectively with attorneys, clients, and healthcare providers to ensure smooth case management
