Essential Job Functions
The Los Angeles office is seeking a Legal Recruiting & Development Assistant as part of the Firmwide Legal Recruiting & Development Department (LRD). Reporting to the Senior Legal Recruiting Manager, the Legal Recruiting & Development Assistant will provide support to the three LRD channels in the Los Angeles office, i.e., Legal Recruiting, Attorney Engagement, and Legal Education & Development.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent oral and written communication skills; be a team player; demonstrate strong client service; have the utmost respect for confidentiality and attention to detail; work independently and be able to follow up with minimal instructions; have the ability to prioritize work and work on multiple projects in a fast paced environment; interact with potential recruits, attorneys and staff at all levels of the Firm's business; strong organizational skills, demonstrate initiative and work under pressure and deal with demanding deadlines. Individual must have the ability to work overtime.
This position is hybrid. The individual is expected to follow the Firm's hybrid work model, which requires in-person presence Tuesday-Thursday (with the exception of pre-approved arrangements).

Qualifications & Requirements
Education, Work Experience, Skills
One-plus years of experience, preferably in law firm or other professional services environment. A Bachelor's degree is required. Experience with Symplicity and ViDesktop preferred. Strong Microsoft Excel skills required.

- Provide administrative and general support to all LRD channels in Los Angeles
- Respond actively, thoroughly and courteously to the needs of clients and internal requests within the firm; volunteer time and knowledge; work effectively and willingly with others.
- Respond to inquiries from attorneys/staff, as needed
- Provide support and execution of events across the LRD channels in Los Angeles
- Coordinate Summer Associate orientation
- Liaise between the Summer Associates and the attorneys and staff
- Manage write-in/resume collection process
- Assist in preparation for offer decision meetings
- Assist with high volume of interview scheduling
- Maintain ViDesktop records
- Assist with New Associate Orientation as needed
- Assist with 1L application process
- Maintain recruiting timeline for events and projects
- Assist with purchase of Kirkland branded gifts and giveaways
- Other duties as may be assigned
