The Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical Assistant Vice President (AVP) to lead our Compensation Modelling and Analytics function. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and managing complex compensation models, providing actionable insights, and ensuring data-driven decision-making across the organization. You will collaborate closely with multiple stakeholders, including HR, Finance, and senior leadership, to deliver robust analytics that support effective position management and strategic workforce planning.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain advanced compensation models and tools to support business objectives.
• Analyse compensation data and trends to optimize strategies and provide actionable insights.
• Collaborate with diverse business lines and support functions across various geographies.
• Ensure accurate position management through comprehensive data analysis and reporting.
• Prepare and communicate monthly reports and variance analysis, utilizing financial KPIs and identifying historical trends to guide management focus.
• Manage core planning functions, including results analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning.
• Partner with local, regional, and global contacts to ensure timely deliverables, working closely with senior management on strategic and financial planning.
• Design financial models and metrics to measure performance and highlight key focus areas for leadership.
• Create executive presentations for business updates to senior management and key business partners.
• Gather and analyse internal and external market and competitive trends
• Lead and mentor a small team, fostering a collaborative environment that drives high performance and professional development.
Qualifications:
• Post-graduate qualification in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, or a related quantitative field (e.g., MBA, CPA/CA, CIMA, ACCA).
• 9+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, business intelligence tools, and data science.
• Proficiency in multidimensional reporting applications (e.g., Hyperion Planning and Essbase).
• Strong knowledge of accounting concepts and experience with financial modeling.
• Advanced analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience supervising and mentoring analysts, and working with senior leaders on financial planning and reporting.

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $133,100- $192,950, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody's also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
