Provides assessment and treatment services to children, supervised by a licensed mental health practitioner, as well as by other faculty in the Tulane Comprehensive Assessment and Treatment Team (TCATT) Program. 

• Ability to form relationships with a variety of professionals, individuals, and groups.

• Interdisciplinary consultation and collaboration skills.

• Individual and group therapy skills.

• Completion of specialized training in infant mental health or capability to complete training in infant mental health.

• Experience in a clinical setting working with children and adults (e.g., mental health clinic, practicum placement, etc.).

• Ability to provide training to other professionals, such as DCFS case workers and foster parents and/or relative caregivers. 

• Must have the necessary physical skills to complete consultations and required documentation.

• Competent communication and writing skills.

• Flexibility and ability to organize and manage time independently.




SPECIAL REQUIRED ABILITY FOR INCUMBENTS WHO HAVE CONTACT OR EXPOSURE TO ANIMALS OR ANIMAL TISSUES:

Ability to complete and pass successfully the required occupational health screening referenced in the University's Animal Handler Health Surveillance Program on an annual basis. 

REQUIRED BACKGROUND CHECK, PHYSICAL, AND DRUG SCREENING FOR INCUMBENTS WHO HAVE CONTACT OR EXPOSURE TO ANIMALS OR ANIMAL TISSUES:

Selected candidates must complete and pass a background check and an occupational health screening as a condition of employment. For identified jobs, a drug screening will also be required. The background investigation required occupational health screening, and any required drug screening will be conducted after a conditional employment offer has been extended.


• Successful completion of a Master's level Graduate Degree in a mental health field (e.g., social work, counseling)

• Licensed or license-eligible mental health professional in Louisiana.
• Superior Writing Skills.
• Experience with Trauma Treatment for Children and Families. 

• Proficiency in Spanish language.
