Tesla's in-house Lithium Refinery is located in the greater Corpus Christi area of Texas. This investment is critical to our mission to accelerate the world's transition to sustainable energy and represents our efforts to aggressively increase the supply of battery-grade lithium hydroxide available in North America.
We are seeking a Logistics Supervisor to help further our mission. The Logistics Supervisor will build and lead the team responsible for managing the Packaging Operators, transportation, storage, and distribution of raw materials on site, 3PL support and finished products movement within our plant. The role requires strong leadership, planning and analytical skills to effectively coordinate logistics activities, monitor inventory levels and final product production, while collaborating with internal departments and external stakeholders.


Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive logistics procedures and processes to receive materials on site and to ship finished goods off site
  • Lead packaging Operators, Shipping Clerk and processes for shipping packaged and bulk materials
  • Coordinate transportation logistics, including shipment scheduling and transportation costs to ensure timely delivery of finished goods and 3PL coordination
  • Manage Warehouse operations to ensure efficient storage, handling, and retrieval of finished goods products, consumables and packaging
  • Compliance and Safety: Implement safety procedures to minimize workplace hazards and incidents
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations highlighting key logistics KPIs and performance trends
  • Ensure transportation and shipping regulations are followed to include shipment of hazardous materials


Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or a relevant and related field or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience (at least 5 years) in logistics execution and supervisory roles, preferably within the chemical industry or a related manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of transportation regulations, warehouse management systems, and inventory control practices
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
  • Effective communication and leadership skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet tight deadlines
  • Must have command of English language, both written and verbal
