Volt is immediately hiring for a Machine Operator in Compton, California

As a Machine Operator you will:

• Set up machines (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production cycle.
• Control and adjust machine settings.
• Feed raw material or parts to semi-automated machines.
• Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools.
• Test operation of machines periodically.
• Fix issues that might occur during the shift.
• Check output to spot and machine related mistakes or flaws.
• Keep all the necessary records of approved and defective units or final products.
• Maintain all the necessary activity log(s) and required documentation per assigned frequency.
• Adheres to safety guidelines to ensure that all final products meet high-quality standards. GMP's.
• Recommends process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and safety.
• Ensures that the machine he/she is operating remains in good working order, is operating at full capacity and is kept stocked with any materials it may need to perform its task.
• Assists production lead, room coordinator or supervisor as needed.
• Participate fully in meetings/huddles, trainings and team building events.
• Adhere to the concept of team, aligning to and supporting the company's goals and sharing knowledge.
• Compliance to GMP, Food Safety, Food Defense and Food Quality regulations as required by the company, customers and/or government legislations, including timely communication to appropriate facility management of any non-conformity issues or violations found.
• Compliance to all employee job safety requirements and regulations as required by company policies, including timely communication to appropriate facility management of any non-conformity issues or violations found.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

This is a Full-Time/1st shift opportunity.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Food Manufacturing background as a machine operator
• 2+ years operating experience in Food Manufacturing
• Bilingual Spanish speaking is a plus +
• High school Diploma and or GED, or 5+ years of related working experience

Pay Rate: $19.00 - $20.00

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
