About the Role: We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will work with product line Engineers in support of manufacturing equipment care within the Medical Product Division. This is a computer system intensive position which involves support of the digital Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) system throughout Gore Medical, assessment for machine record creation and preventative maintenance activity implementation, specialized troubleshooting of equipment repair records, machine and component failure trend analysis, as well as extensive work to set-up (Commission), relocate, and track equipment within the digital CMMS system.

This position will be located at our Fisher Point facility in Flagstaff, Arizona, with the possibility of a hybrid remote work arrangement, depending upon the responsibilities of the role and business needs.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop Preventative Maintenance Schedules for manufacturing equipment, including revising accompanying procedures when necessary
  • Drive commissioning and relocation activities to ensure equipment is installed according to user needs, including documentation through the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) system
  • Work with maintenance associates to facilitate proper documentation of breakdowns; this includes providing technical assistance, specialized troubleshooting, failure analysis, and coordination of impact assessment with product line Engineering and Quality Assurance
  • Be responsible for data-integrity of maintenance activities in CMMS, including metrics collection, assessment of maintenance activities, instructions and intervals, equipment risk analysis, machine condition assessments, and useful service-life evaluations
  • Identify and support opportunities to continuously improve Maintenance Engineering processes and assess for quality impact
  • Engage in daily interactions with Process Engineers, Environmental Health & Safety, Environmental Monitoring and Control, Industrial Engineers, and Quality Assurance to complete tasks
  • Perform all required tasks in alignment with medical-manufacturing Quality System
  • W ork closely with other Shop Services functions to maintain equipment that meets production standards
  • Ensure machine maintainability is considered by participating in design reviews and factory acceptance testing for new equipment


Required Qualifications:
  • S cience Degree, 2-ye ar technical degree, or a minimum of 5 years experience working hands-on in a Computerized Maintenance Management System
  • Efficient software navigation and strong computer aptitude including experience in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
  • Ability to identify and implement solutions to technical problems, independently and in partnership with others
  • Ability to prioritize, plan, and drive multiple projects concurrently to completion against agreed upon timelines and deliverables
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively as part of a team, including influencing across functions, and building an inclusive environment
  • Demonstrated ability to document, communicate, and present technical work
  • Ability to travel up to 20%


Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience working with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (Example: EAM) and/or Programming, Product Life Cycle experience
  • Experience within medical, pharmaceutical, or other regulated industries and quality systems
