We are currently looking for a Full Time Maintenance Technician I to join our Boggy Depot Team team located at the Boggy Depot Park working 8:00AM-5:00PM - Mo Tu We Th Fr.

Summary:

Responsible for the maintenance, preservation and general care of Boggy Depot State Park and surrounding acreage to achieve a pleasant, safe, and functional outdoor environment. Includes managing employees, assisting patrons, monitoring activities, and maintaining cleanliness, and protect the historic significance of the site.

Responsibilities:
* Inspects Boggy Depot to make sure everything is maintained and makes notes or recommendations for improvements, including but not limited to checking buildings, picnic areas, roads, trails and fences.
* Assist setting up events, include but not limited to, movie nights, family fun day, disc golf camp, and history camp.
* Care for established lawns by mulching, aerating, weeding, grubbing, removing debris, trimming Mix, spray or spread fertilizer onto grass, shrubs, and trees, using hand or automatic sprayers/spreaders.
* Plant seeds, bulbs, foliage, flowering plants, grass, ground covers, trees and shrubs and apply mulch for protection, using gardening tools as needed. Haul or spread topsoil.
* Care for facilities and surroundings. Assist cleaning buildings, picnic areas, camp sites, building maintenance and Disc Golf course.
* Shovel snow/ice from walks, driveways, parking lots and spread salt in needed areas.
* Operates, properly maintain and repair landscaping tools and power equipment, such as tractors, hand implements, chainsaws, lawn care devices etc. and stored properly in shop and closets.
* Maintain logs of equipment repair, inventory vehicle usage, repairs and fuel logs.
* Conducts periodic rounds of facility to check for security of structures, contents, and public safety.
* Represents the facility in dealings with visitors, local historical society, chamber of commerce, schools and other members of the public.
* All other duties as assigned
