Maintenance Worker

Mountain View, A Nursing and Rehabilitation Center has a Full Time opportunity to work as a Maintenance Worker.

The Maintenance Worker is responsible for a variety of maintenance duties, minor repairs, and operational maintenance of the facility. This position works rotating shifts including 3rd shift. Pay rate based on experience.

Specific responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Makes repairs as needed in the general maintenance operations.
• Assists in the construction and painting of wood frame and metal articles.
• Operates snow removal equipment, lawn mowers, tractors and other vehicles.
• Checks facility vehicles for proper fuel, antifreeze, water, tires, etc.
• Operates all vehicles in a safe and legal way.
• Works inside and outside in a variety of conditions.
• Uses tools and stores them in a safe manner.
• Makes inspections of the facility for maintenance operations and reports defects.
• May assist with washing windows.
• Removes refuse and unsafe articles.
• Assists with placing stock in store room.
• May be required to drive a variety of vehicles on errands and transport people.
• Complete tasks with a minimum of time and materials expended.
• Ability to perform physical labor with self initiation.
• Adheres to the established facilities policies related to infection control and reducing the potential spread of infection.
• Works cooperatively as part of the health care team.
• Maintains and promotes relationships with residents, visitors, other staff members, and government regulators by presenting a professional appearance and positive attitude.
• Understands, complies with, and promotes all rules regarding residents' rights and confidentiality.
• Attends mandatory in-services.
• Understands and follows safety and sanitation rules, practices safety in provision of services, and promptly reports any hazards or violations to a supervisor.
• Performs additional functions or duties, as assigned by the supervisor.
