Summary

LOCATION: This position is located in the SSA, Office of Hearings Operations (OHO); Regional Office (RO); 61 Forsyth Street SW, Suite 20T10, Atlanta, GA 30303.

TOUR OF DUTY: Full-Time, Flextime and alternative work schedules may be available. NOTE: Part-Time employees are eligible to apply but may not be converted to full-time by way of this announcement.

At the full performance level, the Hearings Operations Management Analyst plans and conducts ongoing special studies in support of the Office of the Chief Administrative Law Judge (OCALJ) and the Office of Hearings Operations (OHO) in carrying out responsibilities for line supervision, effective administration and direction of OHO in the region and for responsiveness to public needs. Analyzes and evaluates the structure of the regional organization of OHO including functional responsibilities, policies, procedures, and workforce management and recommends changes. Participates in region, HO, HC, and/or AC reviews to evaluate workload management, case flow, and case processing procedures. Analyzes management and operations reports; identifies trends and specific problems; tracks issues of concern; assesses overall work performance and quality of service in individual field offices and other areas of the region; develops and recommends ways to solve problems or improve performance.

Qualifications

Applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience at the below mentioned grade levels, or equivalent, which is in or related to the work of the position to be filled and has equipped applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position.

GS-12: 52 weeks of specialized experience at least equivalent to the GS-11 level. Examples of specialized experience include conducting studies or projects that incorporate management practices, theories, and methodologies to develop new operating methods and resolve problems; interpreting statistical data to prepare an analysis of findings and make recommendations for areas of improvement; writing technical material, correspondence, and policy statements related to the administrative management field communicating conclusions and recommendations.

GS-12: Applicants must have 52 weeks at the GS-11 level or higher.

Time in grade requirement must be met by the closing date of this announcement.

LOCALITY PAY: Salary will be set in accordance with locality pay provisions. Candidates currently receiving a higher locality pay than the office applied for are advised that should they be selected; they will lose entitlement to the higher locality pay.

GS-12 is the full performance level.

This position is eligible for telework as determined by agency policy.

Relocation expenses will not be paid.

This is a non-bargaining unit position.
