GENERAL PURPOSE:

Manage $120M utilities process for all stores, reporting to the Director, Energy & Disposal. This includes supervision of a core staff responsible for bill payment and support of store Building Management Systems (BMS). Managing external vendor deliverables for bill payment and BMS management is a key part of the role. Responsibilities include engagement with multiple internal and external constituents to support new and existing locations. Expectations for the role include executing existing processes and procedures as well as identifying and implementing process and business improvements. This manager will be part of the Store Facilities team and support after-hours emergency response on a rotating basis with other managers.

The base salary range for this role is $90,300 - $136,350. The base salary range is dependent on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, qualifications, relevant education, certifications, seniority, and location. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards vary by position and location.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Manage performance of external partners for utility bill payment, energy management, and BMS system/network maintenance.

• Lead coordinator team in the timely, professional, and efficient delivery of responsibilities

• Work with internal and external constituents, including utility companies in the set-up, delivery and planning of utilities. Similarly work to integrate data and processes from external partners into internal systems.

• Work closely with all constituents, within and outside department, on invoice processing, periodic expense, and capital closing as well as budget and forecast planning.

• Effectively and professionally support service escalations from store field team and other constituents.

• Work closely with the Director and other areas in support of the company's sustainability (CSR) goals and reporting requirements.

• Deliver timely and cost-effective repairs of BMS related equipment.

• Identify expense and operational improvements and partner as appropriate to gain approval to implement new ideas.

• Provide meaningful periodic and ad hoc reporting for all services and costs related to responsibilities.

• Maintain a strong awareness of the overall retail energy industry, including regulatory, commodity and conservation environments that can be risks or opportunities for the company.

• Support overall Store Facilities department as part of management team on special assignments, emergency response, and by being on-call for store emergencies on a rotating weekly basis with the other managers on the team.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

• B.S. degree in business, or related field is desired.

• Minimum 5 years experience in energy management or related field.

• Demonstrated ability to manage direct reports and interface with diverse constituents, including store personnel, internal management and outside vendors.

• Multi-site support of energy management, facilities or related services

• Ability to manage direct reports and interface with store personnel, internal management and outside vendors.

• Ability to analyze complex issues and data, and effectively organize and present solutions to management.

• Knowledge of energy management (EMS/BMS) systems and HVAC operations

• Work order management systems (CMMS) experience, preferably Service Channel

• Proficient in MS office applications including, Excel, Word and PowerPoint

• Excellent Communication skills, both written and oral.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ADA:

This role requires regular in-office presence, including attending in-person team interaction, meetings and collaboration, client support, mentoring, coaching, and/or feedback. However, this role can perform duties effectively using a combination of in-office and remote work. #LI-Hybrid
