Job Summary

This position functions as Financial Analysis Manager of Clinical Trial Budgeting and Project Management overseeing financial and operational management of clinical trials, including budget, congruency reviews, and coordination of coverage analysis vendor. This role requires project management skills to ensure coverage analysis is executed efficiently and in compliance with regulatory standards is expected. Additional responsibilities include:
  • Clinical Trial Budgeting:
    • Manage development, negotiation and tracking of budgets.
    • Collaborate to ensure budgets align with requirements.
  • Congruency Reviews:
    • Oversee congruency reviews to ensure alignment between clinical trial protocols, contracts, coverage analysis, and budgets.
  • Coordination of Coverage Analysis Vendor:
    • Serve as point of contact for management of external coverage analysis.
  • Project Management:
    • Lead planning, execution, and oversight of clinical trial projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budget, and quality standards.
    • Team Leadership & Development:
Education and Experience

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field and six (6) years' experience in finance with demonstration in planning, forecasting, and financial analysis, plus analytical ability to understand complex financial activities of Health System required.
  • A Master's degree in Business and Healthcare experience preferred.
Job Duties
  • Provides financial support for all areas of UT Southwestern.
  • Develops multi-year cash flow projections.
  • Identifies areas of financial risk, present findings, and makes recommendations to management.
  • Develops annual forecast of capital needs and manages allocation of funds.
  • Plans, leads, coordinates, and manages budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Evaluates, prioritizes, assigns and implements capital projects.
  • Manages, directs and plans evaluation of company's financial performance.
  • Develops and recommends actions to achieve company financial objectives.
  • Provides strategic consultation and guidance to management on financial issues, evaluates business proposals and creates recommendations for optimizing financial impact on business initiatives.
  • Manages financial analyst staff. Completes complex projects as requested.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
