Under the general direction of the Staff Services Manager II, as a working-level supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for planning, organizing, and leading, and controlling the Grant and Contract Services Section. The incumbent is expected to exercise considerable independent judgment in making decisions and taking action in accordance with Government Codes, State laws, division and department policies and procedures.
This position requires that the incumbent work cooperatively with others, maintain consistent, regular, and predictable attendance; communicate effectively both orally and in writing; establish and maintain the confidence and cooperation of others contacted in course of business; and use good judgment and tact. The incumbent will be responsible for addressing sensitive program issues related to grants, contracts, audits, and Public Records Act requests.
This position may be extended up to an additional 12 months (24 months maximum) or may become permanent.
