The Legal Office is currently seeking a Staff Services Manager II in the Legal & Administrative Support Section.

The incumbent manages and directs the operations of the Legal and Administrative Support Section, including establishing goals and objectives to effectively manage the units' core functions. Provides oversight and guidance for the workloads within the paralegal, attorney support, and administrative support teams on a regular basis, encouraging cross-team collaboration, and ensuring procedural consistency and production of high-quality legal documents and public-facing Board agenda materials. Provides guidance to subordinate SSM Is on the hiring, training, evaluating, and performance management of team members.

Statement of Qualifications
Please provide a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) for the hiring manager's review. Applications received without an SOQ or those that do not respond to the specific statements below will not be considered.

The SOQ must be typed, titled "Statement of Qualifications", and each statement must be numbered and answered listing all relevant experience, education, and training, including places of employment, dates, and duties performed.

The SOQ must not exceed three pages in length and must not have font smaller than 11 point and address the following:
  • Describe your applicable experience in a lead, trainer, or supervisory role with oversight responsibility for the legal and/or administrative support functions outlined in the duty statement.
  • Describe your experience building strong working relationships across an organization in to ensure operational success of critical functions. Please provide at least one example including the function and business area you partnered with.
  • Describe your experience in leading people and managing processes. Please provide one or more examples of how you effectively balance overseeing critical business functions with prioritizing the growth, development, and engagement of your team members.
  • Describe the qualities you possess that allow you to lead effectively with an emphasis on establishing goals, priorities, objectives, and achieving measurable results. Please include at least one example of your experience.
  • Please provide specific examples of: 1.) high-quality written work products you have produced; and 2.) your ability to effectively lead a team to produce high-quality written work products. Please include the audiences(s) for which the documents were prepared.
  • Minimum Qualifications
