Responsibilities
GENERAL PURPOSE
To direct and manage the activities within the Hospital as it pertains to the Transportation Department. Coordinate with the appropriate external groups on matters pertaining to Transportation operations. Serves as advisor to the Director of Census Management on matters related to specific areas of responsibility and participates in group processes related to overall Hospital Transportation and decision making.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Under general management and with considerable latitude for independent judgment:
Bachelor's Degree; 2 years of related supervisory or management experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Pay Range
Pay Range: $63,815 - $95,723 Annually
The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Under general management and with considerable latitude for independent judgment:
- Directs and manages the activities of the Transportation Department, hires, disciplines, and/or discharges subordinates within established University guidelines, evaluates performance, recommends salary adjustments and performs other personnel actions. (25% of total time)
- Develops implements and carries out policies related to the Transportation functions. Provides for necessary controls to insure that service levels and/or standards are maintained in a fiscally responsible manner. (10% of total time)
- Formulates Operating and Capital Budgets, insures that management standards for cost awareness and budget controls are maintained. Oversees patient transport functions including the Dispatch; area zoned staff; equipment management; staff training and compliance. (20% of total time)
- Insures compliance with the University and Hospital general, fiscal budgetary, bargaining unit and personnel policy and procedures. (10% of total time)
- Develops and maintains productivity and monitoring systems and implements productivity improvements. (5% of total time)
- Represents the department on formal and external committees and talk groups as assigned. (10% of total time)
- Coordinates with other Hospital departments and divisions of the University to insure effective service level, follow up, communication and cooperative relationships. (10% of total time)
- Performs other duties as specifically delegated and communicated by the Director of Census Management. (10% of total time)
