JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The Manager of Portfolio & Project Management will lead the Portfolio and Project Management team within the Project Management Office (PMO). This role is responsible for overseeing the portfolio of projects, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals, and managing the delivery of projects within scope, on time, and within budget. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to drive project success and enhance project management practices across the organization.

JOB DESCRIPTION DETAILS

Responsibilities :

Department Management
  • Oversees all operations of the department and work of subordinate employees, including work structure, performance management, and all other aspects related to the management of a department and direct reports.
  • Leads and mentors the project management team, providing guidance and support for project planning, execution, and delivery.
  • Coordinates budget objectives, reviews departmental goals, approves expenditures and ensures expenses are in alignment and within approved budget


Portfolio Management
  • Develops and maintain the project portfolio, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy and goals.
  • Prioritizes projects based on strategic importance, resource availability, and risk assessment.
  • Monitors and report on the overall health and performance of the project portfolio.
  • Facilitates portfolio review meetings with senior leadership to ensure strategic alignment and decision-making


P roject Management
  • Ensure projects are managed according to best practices and established methodologies.
  • Oversees the development of project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, resource allocation, and risk management.
  • Monitors project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Facilitates communication and collaboration among project stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.

  • Builds and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including executive leadership, business units, and external partners.
  • Communicates project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.
  • Ensures stakeholder expectations are managed and aligned with project goals.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, Power Point, Word
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools
  • Excellent leadership, communication (both verbally and in writing), and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to think strategically, seeing the big picture and aligning projects with organizational goals
  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail
  • Proactive and results-oriented with a focus on achieving project objectives
  • Adaptable and flexible, able to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects and portfolios, delivering results on time and within budget
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment


Education, Certification/License & Work Experience
  • 10+ years of related working experience
  • 7+ years of experience in IT project management
  • Previous experience working in the manufacturing field is preferred
  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field required
  • Master's degree preferred
  • PMP, PgMP, or similar project management certification required
  • German language proficiency is strongly preferred
  • Attends meetings as required or assigned.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned.
  • May be required to travel up to 25% of the time

Total Rewards Package:

Compensation
  • Base: $110,000 to $130,000 annually, based on specific compensable factors including, but not limited to education, work experience, and geographic market.
  • Bonus: This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company's performance and their own individual performance.
