Temple Health is seeking a Manager to serve in Temple Health's Risk Services office. Reporting to Temple Health's Director of Risk Financing and Insurance, this Manager will provide risk management and administrative expertise to support Temple Health's medical professional liability, workers compensation and other insured programs.

This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with 3+ years of experience in a healthcare, insurance or risk management setting to develop and hone their expertise. This Manager will be a generalist in a rigorous and collegial Risk Services department serving an academic medical center with challenging and impactful risk management issues. A background in healthcare or risk management would be a strong foundation for this role. Most important for success in this role is self-initiative, proficiency in claims data analysis and reporting and a desire to advance the risk management interests of a leading academic medical center and its mission of providing the highest quality medical care in the Philadelphia community and supporting world-class medical research.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Collecting underwriting data, preparing insurance applications, regular interaction with brokers and carriers and participation in marketing and selection of insurance coverages

• Claims management, data analysis, data validation, trending and reporting;

• Occupational Safety risk management and compliance with related reporting to regulatory agencies (ex. OSHA, Bureau of Labor Statistics, PA Department of Labor and Industry);

In addition to excellent written and oral communication skills, the preferred candidate will demonstrate first-rate analytical ability, strong initiative, intellectual curiosity and both interpersonal skills and administrative skills consistent with the highest professional standards.

Qualifications

• Holds a bachelors degree with excellent academic credentials.

• Brings 3+ years of experience in healthcare, insurance, risk management or comparable setting

• WCSI - PA WC Self Insured Credentials (Required or must be willing to complete ARM designation within 6 months of hire).
