Position Summary

At Empower, the Manager of Sales Development is pivotal in driving our mission to deliver innovative medications and expand access to quality, affordable healthcare. In this influential role, you will develop and implement sales strategies, drive revenue growth, and mentor a dynamic team of sales development representatives (SDRs) to achieve and surpass their targets.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements sales development strategies to generate new business opportunities and drive revenue growth.
  • Collaborates closely with sales, marketing, and product teams to promote consistency across departments and ensure sales development efforts align with overall business objectives.
  • Leads, coaches, and mentors a team of SDRs to achieve and exceed their individual and team targets.
  • Tracks, analyzes, and reports on key performance metrics, such as lead conversion rates, pipeline growth, and revenue generated from SDR activities.
  • Evaluates and optimizes sales processes and workflows to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Maintains a results-driven approach with a fervent passion for achieving targets and fostering business growth.
  • Collaborates with Sales training to refine and enhance sales processes for improved effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Executes and supports sales campaigns while contributing to meaningful reporting using data-enriched metrics.
  • Implements and utilizes sales enablement tools and technologies to streamline lead generation and management processes.
  • Monitors and assesses the performance of sales automation platforms such as Revenue IO and Qualified.com, as well as the marketing qualified lead qualifier, to refine lead generation and conversion strategies for optimal results.
  • Establishes and maintains strong relationships with key stakeholders, including sales leadership, marketing, and product teams.
  • Stays updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape to identify new business opportunities.
  • Prepares and presents regular reports and updates on sales development activities, performance, and outcomes.
  • Fosters a collaborative and innovative work environment, encouraging accountability, creativity, and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Provides mentorship and professional development opportunities to team members, supporting their growth and success within the organization.
  • Evaluates employee performance, provides feedback and coaching as needed. Prepares performance evaluations for employees.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Proven track record of success in sales development or related fields.
  • Exhibit comprehensive knowledge of sales processes, lead generation techniques, customer relationship management (CRM) systems, and sales automation platforms.
  • Possess strong leadership with the ability to motivate and inspire team members effectively.
  • Proficient utilization of tools such as Zoominfo and LinkedIn Sales Navigator to identify and qualify potential leads.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Skills-Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Knowledge and experience with Salesforce CRM, and use of Salesforce reporting.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent phone etiquette.
  • Thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments, with the ability to deliver high quality results consistently.
  • Experience in Revenue IO or Qualified.com strongly preferred.
  • Bilingual (English & Spanish) preferred.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare, or any applied science.
  • 2-3 years of Sales Development experience required. Preferably in healthcare or life sciences industry.
  • 1-2 years of Supervisory experience, preferred.
