What will I be doing?

As a Security Manager you would be responsible for executing your position's responsibilities and driving company success through performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

Plans, directs, and coordinates activities relating to the protection, safeguarding and security of company assets, team members, guests and owners by ensuring that established goals and objectives are accomplished within prescribed priorities, time limits and fiscal guidelines.   • Plans, examines, analyzes, evaluates and supervises security operations.
  • Prepares reports and records for management team, evaluates current procedures, practices and best practices for accomplishing activities and functions relative to safety and security.
  • Prepares budget estimates and reports, orders supplies and equipment as needed.
  • Supervises Loss Prevention personnel, initiating personnel actions including recruitment, selections, transfers, promotions, discipline, and dismissals, prepares work schedules, assigns or delegates responsibilities and evaluates performance.
  • Conducts, supervises and prepares reports relating to internal investigations of any losses or violations of regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Serves as liaison with public law enforcement, fire and other agencies as it relates to safety and security.
  • Ensures overall compliance with OSHA rules, regulations, and maintains proper SDS labeling and records in accordance within the
  • Hilton Worldwide Loss Prevention Profile.
  • Carries out all reasonable requests or special projects by management of which the employee is capable of performing.
  • Assists in the implementation, training and administration of automated security systems, maintains records, and conducts periodic inspections.
  • Administers training with regard to Loss Prevention, fire, blood borne pathogens, first aid, CPR and other safety related topics to all team members.
  • Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established and revised by HGVC from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position.

  • Previous security. Law enforcement or military experience
  • Ability to make independent decisions using good judgement, analyzing and independently solving a variety of difficult situations and problems
  • Ability to speak, read, write and understand English language to complete job requirements and to communicate with team members, guests and owners
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of security operations and management, enforcement procedures and safety practices in a hospitality environment
  • Associates degree/College Diploma
  • Certified lodging Security Director (must be obtained within 180 days of hire)
  • OSHA 511 Training (Must be obtained within 180 days of hire
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certification (Must be obtained within 90 days of hire
  • Valid State issued Driver’s License
  • 3-5 years related experience
  • 2+years Management experience


It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions

  • BA/BS/Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5-7 years related experience
  • 4+ years Management experience
