The Green Bay Broadway Mill is searching for a Manufacturing Engineer/Asset Manager for the Through-Air Dryed (TAD) Paper Machine operation area, including Pulp and Broke processing. The Manufacturing Engineer will have broad responsibility for safety, environmental compliance, reliability, cost, productivity, and managing within an ownership-based work system of technicians.

What You Will Do
  • Provide strategic and tactical leadership in the areas of EHS, compliance, asset reliability, cost optimization, quality, productivity, waste, and strategic capital planning and execution with the operating team and department
  • Facilitate ownership-based work system strategies by building the capability of technicians to operate, maintain, and improve their assets
  • Develop and execute reliability and asset strategies including time-based, condition-based, operating envelope, and spare parts for responsible equipment.
  • Working with suppliers and customers to provide products that meet the required customer specifications
  • Coach and develop a team that is focused on supporting and holding each other to world-class facility standards
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts within and outside the Green Bay Broadway mill to optimize the process relative to throughput, quality, and cost.
  • Understand and communicate the current capability of assets and coordinate new opportunities with the Business, Operations, and Supply Chain organizations

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering or related field and two years of manufacturing experience OR i n lieu of a degree, six (6) or more years of manufacturing or maintenance experience in pulp/paper industry
  • Experience identifying and addressing losses (assets, people, or waste) within a process
  • Experience troubleshooting mechanical or electrical systems in a manufacturing environment

What Will Put You Ahead
  • Experience working in the pulp and paper industry (TAD Papermaking)
  • Equipment and/or manufacturing systems reliability experience
  • Experience executing Lean or Continuous Improvement projects
