Your role:

At MilliporeSigma, the Manufacturing Operations Supervisor - 3rd Shift will supervise a staff of approximately 10-20 union employees in various job functions including Group Leader, Chemical Operator, and Chemical Filler. Job duties include:
  • Shift hours: Sunday - Thursday, 10:45pm - 7:15am
  • Manage production to meet production schedules in a safe and efficient manner
  • Work closely with Production Planning to assure that customer demands can be successfully achieved
  • Maintain proper batch directions and equipment operating procedures
  • Function as department liaison on Engineering projects impacting production processes
  • Assure that personnel follow all procedures and proper documentation practices
  • Maximize productivity with an emphasis on quality control while minimizing costs
  • Establish and maintain effective communications with employees and other departments such as Production Planning, QC, and Maintenance


Physical Attributes:
  • Stand for long periods, use a computer terminal, climb stairs and ladders, and walk significant distances


Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Operations, and other Life Science discipline
  • 1+ years of experience in a chemical plant or similar industry
  • 3 + years of operational and business experience
