Job Description:

Assist the Manager, Manufacturing Support in directing the electronic testing of final systems and sub-level assemblies by lower-level test technicians. Instructs employees in performance of tests, coordinates workflow, and processes departmental paperwork. Personally, conducts tests as time allows. Fills in for test supervisor as required.

Essential Functions:
  • Ensure safety of employees by teaching and monitoring safe test procedures and practices.
  • Coordinate workload and change priorities based on management direction.
  • Instruct new or reassigned employees on their work duties.
  • Interface with inspection personnel.
  • Essure quality requirements are met.
  • Communicate with individual employees regarding problems, performance, training, etc. and handle paperwork as assigned by supervisor.
  • Generate test procedures for new products or test improvements.
  • Test final assemblies in normal test process. Power conversion test equipment.
  • Document test results and verify data for accuracy.
  • Generate material discrepancy reports and failure analysis reports.
  • Ensure acceptance testing is accomplished with calibrated equipment.
  • Ensure test equipment is turned in for calibration in accordance with recall schedule.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  1. Must be able to read and understand Engineering Orders, Quality procedures, Test procedures, operating instructions, drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and specifications.
  2. Must be able to work well with interdepartmental personnel.
  3. Must have a working knowledge of computers.
  4. A working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and familiarity with MIL-Q-9858 and ISO 9000 is a plus.
  5. Be able to work around high voltage as in 700VDC, 480VAC, current in excess of 6,000Amps & Power>200KW.

Education:

Requires advanced job knowledge/skills. Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees of organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to perform simple algebraic computations of current, voltage, power, reactance, impedance, and frequency.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $76,500MIN - $142,500MAX. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
