Position Summary:

The Marketing Communications Specialist Contractor is responsible for the development and execution of compelling and effective tactical campaigns to enhance internal storytelling and drive growth for the organization. This role will support a varied services portfolio sold into various end markets. This role also supports the corporate brand strategy and complementary initiatives.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:

Messaging and Collateral Development:

Work with vertical marketing, product managers, sales, and other internal stakeholders to create original content with messaging/value proposition relevant to target audience, personas and channels.

Develop content by translating complex concepts and technical information into meaningful customer benefits for development of collateral including presentations, case studies, articles, videos, webinars, presentations, and more.

Ensure that materials are produced to brand standards and are consistent with overall corporate message.

Project Management:

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define goals and/or objectives and ensure that campaign and communication activities align with KPIs.

Manage relationships with advertising agencies, graphic designers, web designers, vendors, and suppliers for the most effective media and creative choices for projects/campaigns.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Assignment Length: 6 months virtual/remote position, 40 hours/week, 8am-5pm ET or CT. Some flexibility with hours can be offered.

FORMAL EDUCATION:

College degree and 3-5 years of experience in Marketing or Communications role. Graduate degree may be considered in lieu of professional working experience.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

Proven experience developing and executing B2B or B2C marketing campaigns with the ability to evaluate/report metrics.

Excellent creative and communication skills (writing, editing, verbal, and creative skills, ability to see big picture).

Strong organizational and time management skills, with ability to manage and execute multiple projects concurrently.

Digital communication experience (social media, email marketing, website content management systems)

Project and budget management and accountability

Self-starter with the ability to understand desired results and execute strategies to accomplish them.

Strong interpersonal skills and team player.

Flexible and able to work in fast-paced, deadline driven environment while managing competing priorities

Comfort with ambiguity and working with remote teams located in various time zones

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Products.
