MARKETING SPECIALIST

Responsibilities
The patient representative contributes to the quality of care delivery primarily through the role of patient /family advocacy. The patient representative focuses on patient / family satisfaction assisting and coordinating the fulfillment of the patient's needs. Serves as a liaison between patient and hospital staff. Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skill necessary to provide care based on physical, psychosocial, educational and safety related criteria, appropriate to the age of the patient's served. The marketing specialist contributes through the development of health fairs and other outreach programs. Responsible for planning, directing, and implementing a program of public and community relations to develop awareness and goodwill towards the Medical Center. Responsible for Media Relations, Publications, Health Promotions, Photography/Audiovisual Communications and Marketing Communications, Business Plan Development, Budget Development, Marketing Surveys. Coordinates and oversees the Senior Salud, Volunteer and Service Excellence Programs.

Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Marketing, communications, public relations or journalism required.
Bilingual (English / Spanish) required. Good oral and written communication skills. Visual and auditory acuity to perceive and interpret data. Assertiveness to deal with patients or families in potential conflict situations. Skillful in problem identification and problem solving. Must have customer relations skill / attitudes and approach. Ability to recognize the demands of emergency situations and responds in an organized manner. Basic knowledge of computer skills required.
