Volt is immediately hiring for a Material Handler in Compton, CA.

As a Material Handler you will:

• Load and unload freight using equipment in an efficient and safe manner.
• Move product to storage areas with proper equipment.
• Use tablet/computer to log inventory/receiving
• Efficiently stack and store the merchandise in the appropriate area.
• Pick orders for shipment and assemble various types of merchandise to be shipped.
• interact with customers picking up orders.
• Conduct operations in a manner, which promotes safety.
• Participate in physical inventories, as needed.
• Perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking.
• Operate equipment safely and efficiently. Equipment to include sit-down forklift. pallet jacks, slitters and tablet/computers.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work environment..

This is a full time opportunity.

The ideal candidate will have:

• 1 year or more with picking/packing experience.
• 2 or more years experience in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Pay Rate: $17.00 - $18.50 per hour
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
