Chipton-Ross is seeking a Material Handler for a contract opportunity in Rockford, IL.

SUMMARY:
Independently responsible for the safe and timely picking, dispensing, delivering and returning of raw material used in antibody production to and from the Raw Materials Warehouse. Assist with warehouse personnel in receiving and shipping processes for the Custom Antibody Services. Responsibilities also include performing inventory cycle counts.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Accurately Pick, Stage and Deliver Raw materials used in Production
o Perform inventory transactions using the ERP system
o Utilize RF Scanners to perform inventory transactions
o Perform material put away activities for both incoming products and intermediate manufactured products
o Manage point of use inventory
o Perform cycle count activities as needed.
o Responsible for accurately maintaining and adjusting inventories via computer transactions
o Place incoming product in dedicated areas
o Process receiving and shipping orders through an ERP system
o Perform incoming inspections on received items
o Check incoming supplies, matching packing slips with purchase orders
o Perform other miscellaneous duties, including package tracing issues, warehouse transfers, and pack orders.
o Create and maintain weekly shipping/receiving schedules
o Gather and report department logistic metrics.
o Drives process and inventory improvement through root cause analysis of inventory inaccuracies, etc.
o Always utilize proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) an other safety equipment
o Maintain a neat and organized work area by utilizing the concepts of 5S

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Possess demonstrated interpersonal skills and the ability to coordinate many activities simultaneously and efficiently. Ability to operate a personal computer and software associated with material handling, logistics and inventory. Possess math skills commensurate with cycle counting and other job specific activities.
o Ability to work safety with chemical and biological reagents, including potential hazardous materials
o Strong demonstration of all four I's (Integrity, Intensity, Innovation, Involvement)
o Ability to accurately complete all forms of receiving and shipping-related paperwork
o Highly dependable with an excellent work ethic
o Demonstrated high level of proficiency in assigned departmental operations
o Ability to understand and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Standard Work Instructions (SWIs)
o Successful working in a fast-paced environment
o Must be able to work within a team towards common goals
o Must be able to work independently
o Good PC skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
o Good verbal and written communication skills
o Ability to multitask - organize/process several jobs at once
o Effective problem-solving skills
o While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly required to stand/walk
o The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to
o A minimum of 2 years' experience in a warehouse, shipping or logistics position preferred
o Some background in material handling and general warehouse flow is required
o ERP experience with PRMS or similar program(s)
o Proficient computer skills required for inventory maintenance
o Proven ability to work well in a team environment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
20 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds

EDUCATION:
Accredited High School Diploma or GED
