We are currently seeking (2) Material Handlers to join our dynamic Shipping/Receiving Team. At CORMETECH our Material Handlers are passionate about ensuring operational goals are achieved by being dedicated to safety, quality, and environmental impacts.

Your primary role will include being responsible for keeping all manufacturing areas stocked with production materials. This includes moving materials, both raw and finished, to and from the off-site warehouse using a Non CDL box truck. They are also responsible to ensure proper handling of inbound and outbound materials and supplies at the MFG facility. This includes proper handling of paperwork and data entry of inventory. This position is also responsible for ensuring that the warehouse environment is kept neat, organized and in a safe working condition.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
  • Assure compliance with Standard Operation Procedures in Shipping, Warehousing and Receiving functions.
  • Load and unload trucks at the warehouse or production facility using a fork-lift.
  • Unload, inspect, count and manage paperwork for inbound materials.
  • Prepare, load, manage paperwork for outbound materials.
  • Move modules, which require use of the Non CDL box truck, to the warehouse.
  • Unload and inspect all inbound materials at the manufacturing facility, locate in proper storage locations, or deliver to internal customers.
  • Transport any materials needed between the warehouse and the manufacturing facility.
  • Update and maintain various information databases with accurate information.
  • Assure that all safety policies are followed, and any unsafe warehouse conditions are reported to the supervisor.
  • Perform cycle, month end and annual physical inventory counts.
  • Maintain housekeeping and cleanliness standards in dock and storage racks.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements

A successful candidate must have:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Computer literate, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
  • 2 year of forklift experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
  • Able to work 12 hours on the 2-2-3 rotation, with some overtime when needed.
  • Good basic math skills
  • Forklift operations experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good basic math and written communication skills
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Need to be flexible and able to work in a team-oriented environment
  • Must have satisfactory driving record and valid TN driver's license and the ability to obtain a medical card to meet DOT requirements

  • Varying temperatures from warm to cool
The Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift push, pull, and carry 25 pounds frequently
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry 50 pounds occasionally
  • Standing for extended periods of time
  • Walking, stooping, bending, crouching, twisting, climbing, and kneeling
Work Schedule:

Day Shift 2.2.3 schedule 7:00am-7:30pm

Cormetech is located in Charlotte, North Carolina, Durham North Carolina, Kings Mountain North Carolina, and Cleveland Tennessee. This position will be based out of our Cleveland, Tennessee location. This position will be in-person.
