Material Handling - 2nd Shift

Job Summary/Overview

Receives, ships, stores, and/or delivers parts to assigned production areas.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Inspect and operate all types of forklifts safely
• Verify and receive into CMBIS all material delivered
• Issue material to work orders
• Store and locate received material both in HiBay and warehouse
• Retrieve material from HiBay & the warehouse to be delivered to proper destination
• Retrieve material from the T-Shed for the HCN, HTC, and Powder Coat
• Verify all steel, both by type and length delivered and receive into CMBIS
• Unload steel truck and store steel using overhead crane system
• Unload and verify all material delivered
• Review storage locations for empty containers and empty rails
• Identify appropriate storage locations and retrieve parts as needed
• Ensure parts are identified and located correctly
• Replenish work cell line storage locations
• Safely Operate tugger to complete deliveries
• Stock Bins as required
• Provide accurate counts, either by hand and/or weight
• Move and locate parts as required
• Review sales orders and locate correct material to be shipped
• Prepare material to be shipped by wither packaging in a carton or on a pallet
• Process shipments by producing address labels and packing list.
• Process UPS shipments through the UPS terminal

Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, and Abilities

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, work instruction, work orders, and pick sheets.
• Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and talk or hear.
• The employee is occasionally required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred but not required.
• Prior experience and/or training is a plus.
• Possess a forklift license or the ability to obtain a forklift license is required.
• Ability to lift/lower/push/pull up to 40 lbs. safely.
