JOB DETAILS

Base Pay $19.50 per hour, plus $1 shift differential

Night Shift: 7pm-7am on a 2-2-3 Schedule

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The associate monitors flow of finished product from production to assigned location within the plant. Associate ensures all materials needed within production and blend plant are available. Associate must be able to perform all functions of Material Handler 1 and all front and back aisle functions of the Material Handler 2 position. Associate assists with training of Material Handler 1 and front and back aisle Material Handler 2.
  • Conduct daily rack-mover and/or forklift safety checks; maintain forklift battery and propane tanks; complete Safe Work Order ticket for forklift maintenance
  • Complete all Inventory Control Label tags and ICL log sheets for finished goods coming from production
  • Maintain salvage tickets and salvage log sheets for racks and knock-out gaylords from production
  • Move racks and set empty racks on-line to remove finished product from production lines
  • Crush, bale and load waste cardboard from production area
  • Deliver crating cardboard to crate area
  • Maintain clean and orderly work areas daily
  • Supply regrind to production whenever needed and log regrind ticket
  • Provide pigment, purge, substrate, regrind master batch and test material to all lines
  • Provide micro ingredients to Blend Plant
  • Perform repacking responsibilities that include reboxing product and ensuring product is entered into inventory and delivered appropriately
  • Remove recyclable material from production line
  • Load and unload trailers
  • Perform daily warehouse inventory of regrind, boxes, pigment, nails/spikes, glue, purge, brown material, low gloss material, and Gaylord liners
  • Enter into BPCS weights from regrind tags, where applicable
  • Ensure pigments and raw materials are not left in aisles and are stored properly
  • Provide assistance with cycle and inventory counts
  • Train Material Handling Associate 1's and 2's
  • Perform other related duties and assignments as required
  • Train new associates, as needed
  • Actively participate in all plant safety programs, depending on location
  • Observe health and safety practices when handling bacon strips
  • Train on BPCS for receipt of incoming materials
  • Assist in handling dispositioned QA product
Qualifications

  • Operate manufacturing equipment and use hand tools as required
  • Work in a safe manner and follow safe work practices andpolicies
  • Help ensure co-workers are working safely and followingsafety requirements
  • Support and participate in Employee Engagementactivities
  • Follow defined clean-up times
  • Must follow and work to an established rate as definedby customer demand and standardized Work
  • Participate in defining and improving standard work toimprove quality windows for our customers
  • Identify problems; communicate issues
  • Assist with training co-workers
  • Support a respectful workplace
  • Perform other duties across the plant as needed asdirected by supervision or management
  • Perform housekeeping duties as needed
  • Assist and cover for other workers in different areas asneeded

  • Ability to read a tape measure
  • Basic reading and math skills are preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
  • Perform tasks requiring repetitive motion and stand forlong periods
  • Possess communication, teamwork, problem solving, andleadership skills
  • Detail oriented
