Purpose Statement
Perform repairs and preventative maintenance in and around the plant and plant grounds. Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns. Learn and understand TPM follow the methodology and standard, demonstrate ability to navigate a PC to track and document work orders and parts inventory.
Key Accountabilities and Outcomes
1. Implement TPM Strategies: Learn and apply TPM methodologies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our manufacturing operations.
2. Maintain Equipment: Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities to ensure optimal operation.
3. Monitor KPIs: Achieve key performance indicators such as:
4. Work Order Management: Ensure proper usage of work orders and assign them as needed.
5. Continuous Improvement: Continually improve maintenance processes and procedures in line with TPM principles.
ROUTINE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Ensure that the operations on the processing lines are running safely, smoothly, and properly expected mean time between repairs is less than 30 minutes.
2. Responsible for the repair of building, equipment, and grounds, expected to complete 90% of defects and work orders assigned.
3. Aid with refrigeration/freezer repair.
4. General plant and office maintenance.
5. Request parts and supplies when needed.
6. Daily communication with Maintenance team and plant supervisors to ensure proper information and repairs are communicated, sending out daily communication email to operations and maintenance team.
7. Work within our Food Safety, Sanitation, and Quality and HACCP plan policies of preforming maintenance work on food equipment.
8. Daily grounds keeping, lawn, and snow removal, general clean up.
9. Boiler maintenance and upkeep.
10. Painting plant and office areas.
11. Work within our facility and utilize Maintenance plan for controls of repairs to be made during production times.
12. Be flexible and assist in other areas of the company when requested.

- Mean Time Between Repairs (MTBR): Strive for an MTBR of less than 30 minutes when parts are on hand.
- Preventive Maintenance (PM) Compliance: Achieve a PM compliance rate of 90% or higher.
- Inventory Accuracy: Maintain an inventory accuracy rate of 90% or higher.
4. Work Order Management: Ensure proper usage of work orders and assign them as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- Highschool diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to communicate well with all levels of management and employees.
- Ability to prioritize projects and daily assignments, follow and reports results of PM schedules and repair schedules as assigned.
- Ability to recognize the operating mechanisms of various fish processing/packaging machines at the plant.
- Ability to initiate new and routine procedures by encouraging teamwork and cooperation without being attended.
- Possesses or willing to obtain a boiler operator's license.
- Flexible to attend training recommended by plant management, could include basic electrical, refrigeration systems, specialized equipment such as the packaging machines and processing.
- Good verbal & written communication skills.
- Experience working in manufacturing or food processing environments is a plus.
- Excellent ability to work well independently or in a team atmosphere.
- Must be self-directed and be able to work without supervision.
- Must have ability to use primary math skills.
- Must have the ability to work flexible hours and weekends as needed.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk and climb ladders.
- Ability to bend and twist in order to preform necessary repairs.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, unassisted.
- Ability to work at heights.
- Ability to work on concrete floors in a cool, wet and damp environment.
