Insight Global is seeking a talented and motivated Mid-Level Mechanical Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be involved in all phases of product development, from concept to production, for our high-voltage industrial cabinets. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful design, development, and implementation of our products.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and Development: Create detailed mechanical designs for high voltage industrial cabinets, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
Prototyping and Testing: Develop prototypes and conduct rigorous testing to validate design concepts and ensure product reliability and performance.
Collaboration: Work collaboratively with electrical engineers, manufacturing teams, and other stakeholders to integrate mechanical and electrical components seamlessly.
Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including CAD models, drawings, and specifications.
Problem Solving: Identify and resolve design challenges, making necessary adjustments to improve product functionality and manufacturability.
Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and adherence to project timelines and budgets.

Required Skills & Experience
3+ years of experience as a design engineer within high-voltage electrical equipment (think high voltage cabinets, sheet metal fabrication, busbars, or related)
experience within product development, design analysis, validation testing and production support
experience utilizing design tools such as NX CAD, Ansys Fluent or related
bach degree in mechanical engineering or related
ability to handle 10+ projects at a time, and is okay with helping folks in the shop with electrical installation/ isolation
energetic and outgoing personality
