Mechanical Design Engineer

An aerospace and defense company is looking for a mechanical design engineer to play a pivotal role in programs looking to design large scale aircraft in an agile, prototype environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background utilizing design software to work on various mechanical systems. This person will be taking a senior/lead level role and will solve various mechanical systems issues with a small team on a major program for the company. The role will require adaptability, creativity and agility in working at a fast paced, innovative and excited environment.

Required Skills & Experience
- 7+ years mechanical design work in the aerospace and defense field
- CAD design experience (Catia V5)
- Strong background in analysis tools
- Strong background with large aircraft
- Experience with Horizontal Stabilizer Trim Actuator Systems (HSTA) and Flap Drive Systems
Prototype/R&D environment experience
