Insight Global is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join the team of one of their top customers in the tire manufacturing industry in Greenville, SC. This role is supporting the installation of large industrial equipment for their capital expenditure projects. This role requires someone to have strong project management experience and ability to do hands-on design work, as well as oversee the design work amongst the team. The engineer must be able to identify risk associated with certain projects from a safety perspective, and assess job scope, timeline, and cost. This is a collaborative role working with various team members and groups, so this person must have effective communication both internally and externally to keep project on track. Experience with Solidworks and Siemens TeamCenter is highly preferrable. Additionally, experience with robotics, AGVs, ASRS, AI and Vision Systems is a huge plus for this team as they are implementing various systems around automation. The hours are Monday-Friday 8am-5pm with about 30% travel (depending on project load). The engineer must also be comfortable working weekends and/or later hours around plant shutdowns. Required Skills & Experience

Associates or Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering

4+ years' in Mechanical Engineering position focused around Project Management and Design

Strong Project Management (scope, cost, risk assessments, safety, timelines)

Experience with 3D Design in Solidworks, or overseeing design teams

Strong internal and external communication

Comfortability traveling ~30% (sometimes international)
