Insight Global is looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to sit in Lexington, SC for a large manufacturing company. The person in this role will be responsible for completing the mechanical portion of large capital projects in support of the Plant Capital execution as well as overall preparation and coordination of the Engineering deliverables for the project. They will assist management with pre-studies of deployment and development projects in the Mechanical engineering field They will also execute design studies, follow procurement and fabrication of equipment and manage the installation, commissioning and startup of the equipment in an industrial plant environment.
* Provide Mechanical Engineering design for assigned projects including solid models, mechanical detail drawings, layout drawings, component specification, and bill of materials
* Respect Michelin mechanical design standards in all equipment designs.
* Create Budgetary Estimates and Bid Packages on assigned projects.
* Create project documentation: mechanical designs, technical offer, safety risk assessment, maintenance & operator training documents and user manuals.
* Facilitate the order of equipment and materials for assigned projects.
* Provide equipment acceptance inspections on equipment that comes into the plant
* Provide Management of mechanical contractor or maintenance installation teams during equipment modifications & machine installations through Start-up and Commissioning.
* Interface with Plant production & maintenance customers, other engineers, and suppliers to complete equipment acceptance criteria.

Required Skills & Experience
- Associates or Technical Degree
- 3+ years of Mechanical Engineer experience
o Strong mechanical systems background
- Strong Solidworks Experience
- The ability to read prints and convert them into a 3D drawing
- Great personality and strong communication skills
- Team Player
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree
- AutoCAD Experience
- Background in automotive industry
- Teamcenter Software Experience
- Robotic experience, configuration or knowledge
- Project management experience (start to finish)
