Mechanical Engineer

Experis, a division of ManpowerGroup, has partnered with an American manufacture of consumer goods in multiple markets to hire a mechanical engineer to work onsite at their north Austin, TX facility. This engineer will work on a team supporting the development of high-speed electrical cable/connector designs.
Title: Mechanical Engineer
Location: Austin, TX (north side location)
Pay: $25 to $27 per hour range
More about the role:

• Support Plant Operations Team in assigned Focus Factories.
• Leads cross functional teams to improve process and product understanding.
• Resolve quality issues by executing CAPA processes.
• Use Lean Six Sigma methodology and quality engineering tools to achieve continuous improvement.

What you bring to the table:

• Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution in Science or Engineering discipline
• Three (3) years of experience using 3D CAD Software (e.g. SolidWorks, Siemens NX, Pro Engineer, AutoCAD)
• Minimum five (5) years of mechanical design experience in a private, public, government or military environment
• Experience with high-speed electrical cable/connector designs, such as QSFP, OSFP, Slimline, or PCIe used in internal and external cable assemblies
• Strong understanding of signal integrity concepts
• Experience with Siemens NX CAD tool
• Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing and ability to create component drawing packages
• Working knowledge of ENOVIA Product Lifecycle Management tool
• Demonstrated ability to work and collaborate as a key member of a global team, team leadership, ability to communicate clearly and concisely, with early morning to late evening availability for occasional global conference calls
