Responsible for performing highly complex activities relating to the design, testing, and evaluation of mechanical systems, subassemblies and components.
Project Details:
- Define (scope) and implement project plans in accordance with the client's needs as early as pre-selling activities, through proposal scoping and through project start up, execution and completion. This role will cover the entire life cycle.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans within the scope of new product development processes and new technology development
- Orchestrate team efforts to achieve milestones and resolve issues
- Communicate frequently across all project disciplines to ensure both team and management is aware of upcoming milestones as well as risks/issues
- Conduct regular meetings with project teams to resolve issues and risks, maintain engagement and focus, and share updates withal team members
- Ensure project requirements are achieved in a timely fashion and within budget guidelines
- Assemble project team, identify needed resources, assign responsibilities and develop time frames to facilitate successful completion of project activities and deliverables
- Mentor other engineers in best practices, industry trends and skill development
- Work and communicate effectively with all employees including but not limited to: Engineering, Sales, Production, Purchasing and Management
- Direct interaction with customer for the purpose of product development
- Possess an enthusiastic attitude and work as part of a team
Job Experience:
- Requires 8-10 years of previous experience in Mechanical Engineering
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as machining operations, casting, etc
- Outstanding Microsoft office skills
- Must have a minimum of 1000 hours SolidWorks 2005+ and 4-5 years of drafting experience with a focus in ASMEY 14.5E STD
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Exceptional organizational ability and attention to detail
