Experis, a division of ManpowerGroup, is working with a well-known, household name in the automotive manufacturing industry , seeking a Mechanical Technician to work in Warren, MI. This would be a 12-Month Contract with possibility of extension/conversion, paying $35/Hour + benefits, & working 1st shift.

Job Title: Mechanical Technician
Location: Warren, MI 48092
Contract Duration: 12-Month Contract with possibility of extension/conversion
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7am to 3:30pm +10-Hrs OT
Pay: $35/HR + benefits

This position is supporting the design and manufacturing of battery cell technology for the organizations electronification programs. You will be providing technical equipment/systems, cell manufacturing, and testing support to product engineering teams. This is a brand new chemistry and new battery design, everything being done in this department has never been done before.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform required tasks in relation to equipment setup, operation, cleaning, testing, and process checks to ensure reliable and consistent functionality.
• Work consistently in controlled, "clean room" environment while wearing required protective equipment/gear.
• Mix chemicals (liquid, powders, gases) to specified recipe.
• Maintain records on work performed, analyze data collected, and report results.
• Coordinate and exchange findings with engineering personnel outside work group.

Requirements:

• Associate degree in mechanical, chemical, or electrical field, preferred
• Previous working experience in a laboratory environment, required
• Must be comfortable working with chemicals and wearing associated PPE (full face respirator, multi-layer gloves, clean room attire)
• Machining and/or welding experience, preferred
• Knowledge of testing equipment, measuring, and recording devices, and knowledge of electrical / mechanical diagnostics and repairs, preferred
