Under supervison, of a Chief Physician and Surgeon, Department Chief, or Program Director, the Medical Assitant is responsible to providing basic medical support to patients with clinical supervison of a licensed physician. Perform basic administrative and clerical tasks.

Working Conditions
The employee is required to work any shift and schedule in a variety of setting throughout the hospital and may be required to work overtime and float to other work locations as determinded by the operational needs of the hospital. All employees are required to have an annual health review and repeat helath reviews whenever necessary to ascertain that they are free from sympotims indicating the presence of infection and are able to safely perform their essentail job duties.

It is a self-contained psychiatric hospital constructed with a security perimeter. California Department of Correction and Rehabilitation (CDCR) provides perimeter security as well as transportation of patietns to outside medical services and court proceedings.
