AFFA's clinic offers the following medical services combined under one roof - Pediatrics - regular and developmental, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine w/ GYN, Podiatry, Allergy and Immunology, Dermatology, Psychiatry and Neurology. Occupational therapy, Speech therapy and Physical therapy are offered as well.

Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our medical office team. The ideal candidate will have a strong patient service focus, a keen eye for documentation review, and the ability to effectively manage a fast-paced medical office environment. The ideal candidate will be bilingual in Spanish and also be proficient in ECW (eClinicalWorks)

Responsibilities:

- Greet patients and visitors, and provide a welcoming and professional atmosphere

- Handle patient phone calls, scheduling appointments, and answering questions

- Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records

- Review and update medical records, including documentation review and medical coding

- Assist with front desk duties, such as answering the phone, taking messages, and directing patients

- Provide general administrative support to the medical office team

- Perform various administrative tasks, including filing and data entry

- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the medical office

- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills

Experience:

- Previous experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting is required

- Experience with medical coding and terminology is highly desirable

- Proficiency in using office systems and technology is essential, eClinicalWorks also

- Strong clerical and organizational skills are necessary

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities is crucial

Skills:

- Patient service and customer service skills
