Aspirus ST JOSEPHS OUTPATIENT CENTER in Antigo, WI is seeking a MEDICAL RECEPTIONIST to join our team as a Float Receptionist providing coverage within the following areas: Oncology, Pain, Orthopedic and Specialty Clinics.

The Medical Receptionist greets, registers, and assists patients in a professional manner. Efficiently schedules patient appointments according to established parameters as defined by office policy and procedure. Responsible for obtaining and maintaining complete and accurate registration records. Responsible for answering all phone calls, providing routine information to callers and transferring calls to appropriate individual in a courteous and professional manner.

HOURS: Full time, .8 FTE, 64 hours per pay period/32 hours per week. Monday-Friday, varied day off depending on schedule and business needs. (Earliest start 7a to 4:30p end time, further discussion in interview.)

Experience/Qualifications

• Knowledge of office procedures normally acquired through completion of a High School diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• One year of business office, customer service or healthcare experience preferred

• Computer experience and basic computer keyboarding skills required.

• Knowledge of medical terminology desirable.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills with a high degree of professionalism

• Knowledge of grammar, spelling, and punctuation to type patient information.

• Ability to file and maintain patient records, files, and other correspondence.

• Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with patients, employees, and the public. Offers ideas and suggestions.

• Ability to establish priorities and coordinate work activities.

• Ability to anticipate, and willingly accept, the need for change

• Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, under pressure, with time constraints

• Ability to maintain confidentiality in all phases of work through knowledge of federal and state laws regarding HIPAA and release of information.
