Piper Life Sciences is actively seeking an MES Automation Engineer to join a pharmaceutical organization in the Raleigh, North Carolina area. The Automation Engineer will be leading projects for DeltaV integration, automation validation, and replicating current processes from other company sites. The ideal candidate will have experience with PAS-X. This is a Monday-Friday, hybrid opportunity located in the Greater Raleigh, NC area.

Responsibilities of the Automation Engineer include:

• Serve as main point of contact with the integrator for the successful implementation and of controls systems throughout the facility.
• Interface with global sites to replicate logic, principals, and processes for a new facility.
• Execute automation design, configuration and startup of controls-related projects for the site.
• Perform validation, testing, and support responsibilities as necessary.
• Work cross functionally with project managers, engineering, etc. to ensure programs remain compliant.
• Provide expert knowledge and technical support to internal and external teams.
• Deliver high quality communication regarding projects and serve as the subject matter expert for automation systems in meetings and leadership calls

Qualifications for the Automation Engineer include:

• 2+ or more years of experience with PAS-X
• Automation/controls experience in a Life Sciences or pharmaceutical environment, preferred
• Ability to work on-site
• B.S. in an Engineering discipline, with 4+ years of experience

Compensation for the MES Automation Engineer:

• Compensation: $80-$120 per hour, depending on years of relevant industry experience
