Description of Duties:
The Mid-Level Knowledge Analyst supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will:
• Store, share, and provide the right information to the right people at the right time
• Synthesize complex concepts into simple, easy-to-understand terms.
• Execute a knowledge management procedure for overseeing all knowledge-related activities, including capturing, managing, sharing, and accessing knowledge content.
• Support a web-based knowledge repository that provides up-to-date, and searchable content for audiences of varying skill levels.
• Support a system for organizing knowledge to facilitate easy access. This could include classifying, indexing, and describing knowledge content, as well as demonstrating a thorough understanding of, and ability to implement metadata (keywords).
• Collect and assess existing KM processes and workflows, and track metrics to discover areas of improvement.
• Understand functions and processes of internal and external stakeholders to develop, maintain, and support knowledge content across multiple areas.
• Create a culture of knowledge sharing and implement a shared vision of knowledge management; defining, supporting, and encouraging the use of knowledge.
• Facilitate knowledge content reviews to ensure all new or changed knowledge content is identified and incorporated into revisions.
• Create conditions for knowledge to flow between people, including informal opportunities as well as formal structures like peer learning and mentoring.

Basic Requirements:
Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience: HS Diploma (or GED) and 8 years of general experience; Associate's degree and 6 years of general experience; Bachelor's degree and 4 years of general experience; Master's degree and 2 years of general experience
• Must have 4 years of directly related experience
• Must have, or obtain within 120 days of hire, an active DoD Secret Security Clearance
Desired Requirements:
• Have excellent technical writing skills and communication skills, and the ability to communicate at multiple levels and diverse audiences.
• Be self-motivated with the demonstrated ability to work autonomously as well as with a team to troubleshoot problems and quickly resolve issues.
• Be proficient with SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Have Information Technology (IT) experience and capabilities, such as corporate intranets, content management systems, document management systems, databases, and wikis.
• Be able to quickly learn and master a wide variety of tools and processes.
This position is expected to pay $55,000 - $80,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
