Requirements / Qualifications
The Antelope Valley Migrant Education Program Consortium seeks a part-time Visual & Performing Arts teacher to teach an Art elective class. The most qualified candidates will be selected for an interview. (Applications will be accepted and considered until the posting is closed). The location of the vacancy will be on-site at the Palmdale Learning Plaza. This assignment will be effective for the 2024 Summer School program.
The VAPA teacher will engage students in Arts activities in an academic elective with resources available for students to enjoy drawing, painting, creative hands-on projects, and grade-level appropriate Arts lessons that appeal to students in a Summer School STEAM elective. The Antelope Valley Migrant Education Program Consortium provides supplemental instruction to
eligible Migrant students, from Transitional Kindergarten to Grade 12. The unique structure of the program allows students to rotate from ELA and Math supplemental courses to electives.
