The Air Force relies upon a wide array of aircraft to complete a variety of tasks integral to our mission. Specializing in electronics and avionics, Mobility Air Forces Integrated Instrument and Flight Control Systems specialists have a critical role keeping bombers, helicopters and cargo planes ready to go. These experts must keep everything to exacting standards to ensure systems operate as intended for the missions they complete all over the world.

• Operate and maintain instrument and flight control systems
• Perform maintenance on bombers, cargo aircraft and helicopters
• Diagnose malfunctions using technical orders, schematics, wiring diagrams and test equipment
• Interpret and recommend corrective action based on inspection findings
• Establish methods and performance standards
• Prepare aircraft for low-altitude attack profiles, precision bombing, covert operations and reconnaissance

• MINIMUM EDUCATION
  
  A High School Senior (age 17 or older)*, High school diploma, a GED, or 15 college semester hours
  
  *High School Students may start their application as early as the end of their junior year.
• ASVAB SCORE REQUIREMENTS
  
  70 Electronics (E)
• QUALIFICATIONS
  
  
  • Knowledge of interpreting and applying mechanical, wiring and electronic circuit diagrams
  • Normal color vision
  • Completion of a current National Agency Check, Local Agency Checks and Credit
  • Completion of 7.5 weeks of Basic Military Training
  • Must be at least 17, but has not reached age 42 on the date of enlistment
