MS SQL Database Administrator

A client of Insight Global is seeking a remote database administrator to join their team on a contract-to-hire basis. This individual will be one of two DBAs on this team and will be both a strong individual contributor and a team player.

The Database Administrator maintains the integrity and performance of database systems, enabling accurate data analysis for decision-making and operational efficiency. The role will also implement backup and recovery solutions to safeguard data. Key responsibilities include managing and maintaining MS SQL databases, performing database replication, mirroring, performance tuning, and disaster recovery planning, and developing database triggers, indexes, and permissions. This individual will also implement and manage SSRS and SSIS packages, along with, automating routine database tasks to improve efficiency.
They will also use monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, and Zabbix to ensure database performance and availability. This individual will an experienced DBA willing to be task-oriented and collaborative to improve an mostly on-prem database environment.

SSRS experience
SQL permissions experience
