Vanguard seeking an experienced Connectivity Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain our network infrastructure. As a Connectivity Network Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring high availability, performance, and security of our networks.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls
  • Configure and troubleshoot network devices, protocols, and services (e.g., BGP, OSPF, MPLS)
  • Ensure network security, compliance, and governance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize network needs
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and standards
  • Participate in on-call rotation for network support

Requirements:
5+ years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on connectivity
Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, protocols, and technologies
Experience with Juniper and/or Cisco network devices and software
Proficiency in scripting languages, such as Python or Terraform (huge plus)
Strong knowledge of network security and compliance requirements
Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Nice to Have:
Experience with network automation and orchestration tools
Knowledge of cloud networking and hybrid environments
Azure Express Route/And/or AWS Direct Connect a plus

Certification in network engineering (e.g., JNCIP, CCNP)
Experience with agile development methodologies
