JOB SUMMARY:

The Network Engineering Manager is responsible for the design, implementation, and support documentation of the Enterprise Network and the Technical Security Architecture. Manages a team that works on complex network problems that require in-depth evaluation of various factors. Oversees large-scale systems projects through vendor comparison and cost studies.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other related technical field and/or equivalent combination of education and/or experience is required.
  • 10+ years of experience in roles of increasing responsibility within large-scale corporate technology environments is required.
  • 5+ years of experience leading teams of FTE or matrixed resources is required.
  • Experience leading teams of 5+ resources in the design, implementation and support of enterprise networks is required.
  • Extensive experience leading teams with accountability for complex network security environments is required.
  • Experience leading teams to support load-balanced enterprise environments is required.
  • Experience leading teams to support Wireless Control Systems, Access Point, and 802.1x, PKI, EAP, TLS technologies is required.
  • Proven experience leading the design, implementation and support of enterprise business and large-scale LAN/WAN environments, network capacity planning, network security principles, and general network management best practices is required.
  • Strong leadership experience in the areas of requirements/process analysis, conceptual & detailed design, configuration and testing is required.
  • Must be knowledgeable in the design and application of various network technologies, services, and protocols that are typical of a large enterprise network including BGP, MPLS, OSPF, EIGRP, and QoS.
  • Knowledgeable of Technical Security Architectures is required.
  • Knowledge of carrier based technologies such as TDM, MPLS, SONET and OC level circuits is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills including presentation facilitation is required.
  • Proven ability to identify and deliver cost savings and avoidances while improving technology solutions is required.
  • Excellent organization skills including the ability to work effectively in a dynamic and changing environment is required.
